Van duizend naar drieëntwintig

Hoi,

Gisteren was weer een mooie winterdag met lage zon die lange schaduwen werpt, een beetje heiig, koud. We wandelen met de hond naar Egmond-Binnen. Door de polder langs een weg die normaal kalm is, maar nu druk blijkt te zijn: er is een weg afgesloten richting Castricum. Een tunneltje onder de weg door is gruizig. Aan de andere kant is een stukje niemandsland, er staat een autowrak. 

We eten een borrelsnack bij Nieuw Westert. We wilden terug lopen maar het biertje is ons in de schoenen gezakt en onze dochter haalt ons op.

Deze week:

Ik lees The Vegetarian uit, een mooi en bizar boek van Han Kang.

Het editen voor een nieuw project kost me meer dag een halve dag. Misschien als expo te zien. En/of een zine. Van duizend foto’s naar 33. En ik wil er nog tien minder om de selectie compacter en consistenter te maken. Zie onder.

Ik kijk naar een korte documentaire over Martin Parr op YouTube.

Nieuw op de leestafel ook van Parr: Utterly Lazy and Inattentive. Heel leuk boek, een biografie aan de hand van foto’s, in plaats van andersom. Parr is heerlijk recht door zee en onpretentieus. (Maar waarom zo saaie omslag, waarom geen mooie foto van Parr?)
