The World Don’t Need No More Images

I have my photo-movie, The World Don’t Need No More Images (full of pictures), just about finished. The first episodes are on YouTube. Is it any good? Probably not. Does it raise a ripple? Unlikely. Is it fun to mix images and sound? Absolutely. Besides, it feels like it has to get out. In this form, this had to be tried and done because I have not seen anything similar done before.

And now: bye. Next.

Carters Beach

Today I created another photo-video in the New Zealand for Beginners series.

You can binge and follow the playlist here. I am working on the rest of the movies. 4 more weeks of travel to cover. Then Japan is the next playlist to finish.

Photo movies

I (re)started making picture movies from my photo projects. I publish them on my YouTube channel. It’s a kind of slide show, but I’m trying to make a bit more of it and augment pictures with some video I made during the photo shoots.

I started this before with low success but now decided to take this more systematically. Nobody seems to exhibit his photography products like this, at least not so systematically. The first new set I created during the Scotland trip. Created a separate playlist for this trip.

This weekend, I created a video using pictures I took during a business trip to New York City and upstate New York.

And I have a large backlog of similar trips. Having fun with this.

Wellington picture-collage-video

In de serie New Zealand for Beginnners, maakte ik een nieuwe picture-collage video van ons verblijf in Wellington.

Gig report foto/videos

Gisteren twee video’s gemaakt van de beelden die ik bij optredens van punkbands, in juli en in september. Ik hoop dat de videos de energie doen voelen die bij deze concerten vrijkomt.

Van Neistat, Tom Sachs

I absolutely love the YouTube channel of Van Neistat, The Spirited Man. Van is the older brother of Casey Neistat, and the more philosophical of the two. Van Neistat is a filmmaker and tinkerer. He received his training from Tom Sachs, a second discovery. Tom Sachs has a great channel on Vimeo called Tom Sachs. Binge-worthy.
