Photographer and still an IT dude. I live in Heiloo, 35 km north-north-west of Amsterdam.

I just finished reading the new Haruki Murakami – The City and Its Uncertain Walls (in Dutch, which was just released – De stad en zijn onvaste muren).

Now, I am reading Werner Herzog’s Every Man for Himself and God Against All.

I just came back from a holiday trip through Scotland. That was awesome.

Sometimes, I do not Photograph. But I usually take pictures of what is in front of me, and I get in front of Punk bands for that, too.

In 2023, I traveled through New Zealand and Japan. I want to go back, especially to Japan.

I love doing things myself and being independent. I am very skeptical about Big Tech. I am very interested in what Cory Doctorow, Waag, and Bits of Freedom have to say on this topic with great interest.

Personal non-commercial websites are an antidote to the spammy corporate web.

I think the future of the internet is the curated internet. Yahoo started as a directory and got killed by Google. Google search, Facebook, and Instagram these “platforms” have killed themselves. For non-commercial, neutral content, we move back to a directory-like internet. Curation is a task for all of us.
