Margareth Atwood – Hag-seed

Revenge novel, Hag-Seed.

A number of inmates voluntarily take part in a drama programme in prison.
Practising for a recording of Shakespeare’s The Tempest led by a rejected stage director with a grudge against his former employer and a trauma after losing his daughter.

Quite stuffed with Shakespeare, probably the book is even more enjoyable if you know more about Shakespeare than I do now.

Funny thing about the prisoners being allowed to swear only in the terms that appear in The Tempest (Hag Seed!) during the drama exercises.
